1) Maintain Registration of Nurses, Health Workers/Auxiliary Nurse Midwives.
2) Conduct Examinations of General Nursing Midwifery and Health Worker/Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery courses.
3) Recognized officially and conduct Inspections of Nursing Institutions within the state
4) Prescribe rules of conduct, take disciplinary actions etc.whenever necessary.
5) Organized Workshops/Seminars etc. for Nurses/Tutors etc from time to time.
6) Implement renewal of registrations and submits upto date registration to INC.
7) Maintains reciprocal recognition with other state and INC
